Special Message from the OJA Council
The OJA Council is made up of Oklahoma Public Employees Association (OPEA) members employed by the Office of Juvenile Affairs. The Association has supported the agency in securing legislative approval for funding and other issues important to OJA. The more members we recruit, the more able we are to affect pending legislation.
Current Goals
- Recruit new members.
- Obtain more worksite representatives.
- Retain more staff.
- Changes in OJA investigations process.
- Access to restraints by OJA officers.
- Hazardous duty pay.
- Shift differential pay.
- Two ten minute breaks per 8-hour shift.
