Dear Natural Resources/Safety and Security Council Members
Our council will have a meeting on Tuesday, April 29 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the OPEA offices, 13 NE 28th, Oklahoma City.
This is a very important time for our council. Foremost on the agenda will be a discussion to replace Darren Francis on the OPEA Board. We will also be talking about our pay raise and other legislation as well.
After the meeting, we will take our lunch hour to go to the Capitol to visit with our legislators.

The teleconference meeting was called to order by the acting chair, Lori Kelso, at 7:00 p.m. on April 3, 2008.
Present were: Lori Kelso, Vice Chair; Connie Stockton, Board of Directors Representative; Monroe McKissic, Robert Rowley, Brenda Marsalis, and Leonard Billingsley. Trish Frazier represented the OPEA staff.
The group accepted the resignation of the Council Chair, Esther Thompson.
Monro McKissic made a motion and Connie Stockton seconded for Lori Kelso to be the Council Chair. The motion passed.
Monro McKissic made a motion and Robert Rowley seconded Leonard Billingsley as Vice-Chair.
The Council decided to have a Lobby Day on April 29.
In agency discussions Connie Stockton informed the council about recent activities at the Capitol, including OPEA stopping Tourism’s attempt to unclassify park employees.
Monroe McKissic of DEQ asked if listening to the House and Senate was allowed in other agencies. Trish said OPEA staff would follow up.
