Public Service Recognition Week Starts Out in Style

OPEA Members Share Lunch in Enid for Public Service Recognition Week

The Enid Health Department was the site of the opening luncheon celebrating Public Service Recognition Week.

“We had a great group of state employees gathered today to celebrate public service across the country,” said OPEA membership representative Alicia Wright.

Topics for the day included the current legislative session and the OPEA call to action for May 13.

“These employees are in constant communication with their legislators, fighting for their pay raise and other state employee issues,” she said.  “Many said they would be coming to the Capitol on the 13th.”

New OPEA members signed in Enid included:

Ruth Nightengale

Tonya Schlecht

Krista Miller

“OPEA is also spending the week in Oklahoma City, Lawton, McAlester and Tulsa,”

Wright said.
